So I have been toying with the idea of... what if Tim Burton took on making a Super Mario Bros' type of thing? Or if not Tim Burton, someone with a similar eye? A halloween screepy crawly twisted demented dark gothic version of super mario brothers... So with that said... Here's my depiction of Goomba.

I think I will start a challenge for people to take creatures and ideas from Super Mario Bros and re-create them in this fashion...

The Dark Goomba was drawn in a Paintchat. :)

Heh yeah! I have no idea where the idea came from... but it's been one of my obsessions as of late. Not crazy obsession... but a mild obsession that pops up everytime I see something Mario related. :) Yes... Bowser will have to be done just so. twil be tough, but a challenge worth taking I think. :)

Freaky. Makes me think of Metroid Prime. I'd hate to see what Bowser and the Piranha Plants would look like if the Goombas are this tough...;)

That is really neat... I can't wait to see what Yoshi comes out looking like. That has some potential there. And Mario... WAIT! What about the Princess?!

That said... I think you did a very fabulous job and someone should definately make a video game out of it... you could do the concept art for them.
