This sort of rendering looks just like something that came out of Doom or Quake or something xDD

It'd be really neat to be able to play this guy, or Michael Myers or something in a big kill-all game sort of like Doom xD

Great textures on the mask and gloves. Great anatomy, but the hands could be slightly larger. Maybe make the blade rusty, and old. Looks kinda out of place with is dirty clothes.

overall great job though, Jason Vorhees is my favorite slasher.

yeah, I'm going to have to learn how to build complete models from scratch myself to really do him the way I envision him now. This is from quite a while back now, too (we're talkin roughly 4 years! man, time flies!)

Thanks for the suggests, I'll definitely try better next time I give this a shot (which would likely end up being in Zbrush or another similarly styled "sculpting" 3d app.

If you're a ZBrush fan, look into Mudbox. As my experience it's easier to pick up, and the tools are more simple. You could also upload your finished model from Maya or 3DSMax, whichever you use, directly into Zbrush.

:D

I will definitely do that!

And sadly, I have not gotten my hands on 3ds or maya.
I've mostly used poser and a bunch of other random freeware programs to get me by when I get into my 3d sculpting moods. I did like Zbrush however, and Mudbox definitely sounds like the kind of thing I would be interested in, thanks a ton for the heads up! :)
